I read the book before seeing the movie and it was a damned good adaptation. I know the whole "escaping from a prison island" theme has been done before but this one is top-class.

I loved the book and when I watched the movie I felt it did the novel justice. One of the better and more accurate book-to-film adaptations.

I'm always careful when watching a remake of a film I loved. This remake will not disappoint. A powerful performance by Jim Caviezel (The Passion of Christ) carries this classic tale of loss and revenge.

Guy Pearce (Memento) puts on a good performance as the scheming best friend.
