This is one of the too-rare recent trend toward comedies that are not based on maliciousness or stupidity. A "mean" comedy can be hilarious, but violence and ill will are not the only sources of humor. "50 First Dates" tells a fine story with a lot of laughs, but also heart, and provokes feelings of gladness inthe viewer. Among the best! |
