Debra writes to draw attention to her investment analysis business. Dwelling on past mistakes is not going to help her with that.
Other than myself, can you name any examples of people who write an article about an investment call, get it wrong, later go back and dissect their own mistakes, and do all of this in a way you can read for free? (Thank you for paying, Bill, but as you know, you don’t have to.)
I’m sure that even I have made multiple bad calls that I haven’t dissected for readers. (Although I will if an all-access patron like yourself reminds me of the bad call and asks me to.)

I think it would be great if everyone lived up to the “journalistic ethics” you are espousing, but I’m not sure that even most journalists do. I know she does not read the comments here.

The lack thereof makes me very skeptical of the recent articles by this author. Just in a 10 minute internet search, I see there is recent news of Nemaska reaching a supply agreement with Hanna Co. Ltd.; a financing agreement with Orion Mine Finance; and selling shares of Monarch Gold Corp.

Yes I think that journalistically there needs to be a revisit to this post. What were the mistaken assumptions, what conditions were foreseen that did not take place, etc. The shares are now worthless!

Still hoping for a “greatest hits” / “lessons learned” post at some point!

And yes I did keep my investment relatively small. Luckily for me, I invested much more in your 10 Clean Energy Stocks for 2019. And as to objectivity, I place a lot of stock (so to speak) in knowing you invest in the positions you recommend.

I hope you kept your investment small Bill. I note that Debra (the author) did not buy it herself (she never does because she feels it interferes with her objectivity.) I hope this wasn’t a too expensive lesson, but the lessons I drew from many similar losses of my own in the past were 1) Never invest in a penny stock unless it is cash flow positive and 2) keep all investments in penny stocks small. Long time readers will recall Finavera, Nevada Geothermal, and Axion. Ugh!
