In reply to Mike. Yes. All companies have equity, but only a few list that equity on a stock exchange. In this context "private" means not on an exchange, aka not publicly listed.

In September Next Hydrogens website says they completed an over subscribed equity private placement. I thought that means they’re issuing shares but not sure what the private means. Can a company stay private and issue equity.

In reply to Mike. If the company does not have an "investors" page on its website, it's not publicly traded. Most companies (at least by number, if not by size) are not.
